Pounding through the heart of Chicago, you can hear the beats of DJ/Producer Ed Nine. Born and raised in the Southside of Chicago, Ed Nine has been contributing to Chicago’s House music groove since 2006.
Influenced by many House Legends like Bad Boy Bill, Paul Johnson, Cajmere & Kerri Chandler, self-taught Ed Nine, began mixing at age 16 and rocking parties at 19. From local house parties to big name Chicago House clubs, like Smart Bar & Primary, Ed Nine has been a ground shaker on the decks.
In 2010, Ed Nine released his first EP, Hot Jazz on Bnatural Records, which catapulted him into the underground house industry. His most recent EP, Feels Good on H.A.R.D, landed on Traxsource’s Top 15 in its Top 100 Overall releases. Now, with more than 8 EPs & countless tracks and remixes on multiple labels, he has gained support from global hard hitters such as: Mark Farina, Diz, DJ Dan, Stacy Kidd, and Milty Evans. He has also shared the decks with some of Chicago finest legends including, Paul Johnson, Roy Davis Jr., DJ Heather, & Gene Hunt to name a few.
A tenacious slave to the studio and decks, the world has yet to see all that he has to offer to the heart of House Music. Whether it’s beating some deep house at an underground loft or jackin’ the crowd at some of Chicago’s biggest House clubs, Ed Nine’s inimitable sound will pleasure the body and the soul.
